In Europe and Aus many airlines weigh carry ons. So while this might be possible in America, 7kg carry on is the weight limit, with cases weighing 2kg, that leave 5kg.

What about laptop, chargers, protein powder, kindle, tablet, medicines, first aid stuff? I can easily do carry on for the West but for Asia I always need more just in case stuff (plus dive gear). It's definitely a talent!

I only take the carry-on if the trip is over one week or thr weather there is really unstable and I need more clothes. Usually everything under a week fits in the small ryanair-sized backpack that goes under the seat
