riding on a non set bow is a quick way to never have a sound horse. you cannot know if a bow is set from a picture. You MUST have ultrasounds. A nasty enough bow will have scar tissue and be recognizable as a bow but with out the proper checks, you cannot know if it's healed or just ugly.

Ummmm.. How fresh is the bow and how severe was it it begin with? Who said not to ride it? a vet? If it's "set", meaning it had the proper time to heal, it should be fine, but the only way to know is through ultrasound. Although there is always risk of re-injury especially with a high impact career such as barrel racing. I've had tendons with 90% tears come back to high impact careers with the proper time and leg work. Let's put all the facts out there before we blast someone. 😂 Not saying it's undeserved, it may entirely be, but a healed bow is a healed bow.
