My friends husband refused to make her, HIS WIFE whom he splits bills with the beneficiary on his life insurance policy because “I don’t want you to go live lavish with a new man.” Meanwhile I know another woman whose husband treated her like a queen when he was alive, provided everything, romanced her, took care of her in his will and ensured she would continue to be provided for. She is set for the rest of her life and never remarried because “no man would ever compare to my first husband.”

When my dad died last summer, my mom gave all of my siblings and I a copy of his will that he had notarized in 2019. His pension, property and life insurance policies were all distributed according to the will. There has been ZERO drama in my immediate family because my father handled his business. We can grieve in peace.
