The 10 year yield is not really effected by the fed short term rate.

Just FYI, the 10-year Treasury yield is not directly tied to the Fed rate, but the two are related. The Fed directly controls the short-term federal funds rate, which influences other short-term rates, but the 10-year Treasury yield is more influenced by investor expectations of future short-term rates and the market's outlook for inflation and economic growth.
