My baby does not have any hip dysplasia symptoms when she was checked by the doctor before discharge but my partner just happened to mention he had a “relaxed” hip as a newborn. She still referred us for a scan to make sure, and it was confirmed she has hip dysplasia. She’s now on her week 13 of pavlik harness and hopefully be in Boston brace this coming appointment

n Germany, you get a referral from the pediatrician to see an orthopedist so that your baby can be checked for hip dysplasia before the age of three months. My little one has to wear a brace for three months because of hip dysplasia

Is there a specific age to check this? As I’ve just tried to do this on my son who’s just turned 4 months old and he just stiffens his legs to move around.

I was born with hip dysplasia..pins in my left hip and total hip replacement on my right.. my left will be replaced next year. I'm 37 please get the babies checked early ♡

My baby had the same thing , he was born breached, but the doctors caught it before we left the hospital, he was on harness for 8weeks . He is good now.
