Been married 21 years, some days are like this and some are together doing activities all day with more affection/ interaction. It’s normal sometimes. Expectations about marriage are insane right now. Be happy , do your thing and enjoy the time you have together.

what if you're both genuinely happy living like this? genuine question... we're both neurodivergent and both require quiet space and simple exchanges just to function as parents to our son and do our jobs. we reconnect on holidays but sometimes this 'roommate' way of life can function too.

This is me and my husband. It’s not necessarily bad. Neither of us are unhappy. I have friends and hobbies that fulfil me. He has activities he enjoys doing. What’s the point of splitting? I’m not interested in a new relationship.

After years and years of marriage what do you expect? So get a divorce split your assets and go look for a new partner that’s the answer? How about your both so comfortable it feels boring but actually it’s just life long partnership. Idk I have freedom, help with household, two incomes why do I want to start over with a new man? I don’t!!! I love and care about my husband even if it’s exactly what you just described.

To me , Marriage is dead! We are either too busy making money to keep a float or too tired to make whoopie! We are both exhausted! love my kids but they took a lot of time and money and energy to bring them up. If your newly married , dont have kids until you are in a good financial position , like having a home paid off, makes a big difference in a relationship! Evenually we both gave up in the end. We lost the connection. It was just much too hard.😔🥺😔🥺😔
