It was not a direct agreement that the countries in Eastern Europe could not become members of NATO. Russia is trying to decide over those countries.

Russia did invade and threaten countries such as Moldova and Georgia during this period of time. Countries joined nato over fear of Russia. I never heard of nato invading countries to expand membership

He does'nt understand the difference between tha USSR and Russia. He does'nt understand the difference between a promise and a treaty. Ukraine has the right to self determination. This is'nt about NATO, putin won't settle for anything but a vassal Ukraine.
