This is my biggest issue with Alien IP these days. Someone feels like because it's Alien, we came to see the Alien, so here's all the Aliens they can cram down out throat. When all I want is a Ripley and some good, lasting, dread.

some of the concepts of the show are fascinating and I really do want a 2nd season, the differences in species of aliens and the cyborgs/synthetics was definitely one of the stronger points for me on it.

I really loved the show and was blown away by it. Personally I don't view it as a horror but as sci-fi and a character piece. When it was announced I thought the concept was ridiculous and it would be a disaster but I'm happy I was wrong.

I really dug that the show pivoted more towards cyberpunk. I was however very underwhelmed by the latter half of the show. Especially the season finale.

I did not enjoy it one bit. It had so many glaring writing inconsistencies like how did Boy Genius know the ship that had been in space for 65 years, long before he was gone, had something valuable and how did he get in contact with someone in the ship to arrange a sabotage. Both of them don't know each other. The only remotely interesting character was morrow. All the other performances were painfully horrible

it felt like it wanted to be something else entirely but had to be within the alien universe in order to get made and i hated that so much. also if i knew it was made by the guy behind legion i wouldn’t have wasted my time.

I think the show was entertaining but deeply lost its footing towards the end but I will say.. I was deeply invested whenever Olyphant was on screen. Something about Kirsch and his motives had me invested, same with Morrow

it's a lot more sci-fi than horror. also like I know the xeno has been a guy in the suit, but they knew to not let you see the whole thing. from episode 4 on I just see a guy in a suit and it makes me so mad
