I asked what the pain management plan was for my biopsy THREE TIMES before the procedure, including immediately before the start. I was put off twice and finally told “none.” I was crying and the doctor said “you’re making me uncomfortable.” Oh. Sorry. Wouldn’t want to make YOU uncomfortable

I’m someone with MAJOR pain responses on my cerv1x, and when I had my biopsy done, absolutely NO anesthetic was used AND the biopsy blade wasn’t properly sharpened, which it took her a few tries to realize before she switched to a new, fully sharp one. I was basically praying for death.

I passed out and almost puked during this. They took 6 “hole punches”…told me to take ibuprofen before hand and that was all they offered.

had this done a few years ago by a female doctor and she said it doesn't hurt at all. but it did!!! ALOT! she said I was being dramatic for saying ouch :&#/$. I said she should get back to me when she has done this herself.

I absolutely REFUSE to have this done. I have been told I need to have a biopsy, I have spoken to THREE GYNs and none of them will do anything for pain management. They have all said just take some ibuprofen before your appointment. Thanks, but no thanks. This will literally be the hill I DIE on.

I've had a bruised cervix several times in my life due to intercourse, and I can confirm that the cervix DOES have nerve endings and can hurt like hell! And yes, cervical biopsies/pap smears hurt too 🙄

Had this done before my hysterectomy. I felt the pain all the way up to my throat. My doc was like, “oh, yeah, there’s a nerve there.” YOU DONT SAY.

Never had ANY painrelief, didn’t even get the option. And yes, you absolutely feel it! How TF can doctors think we don’t feel it, when we’re actually there with them, telling them the opposite? 🤷♀️🤪

THAAAANK YOU. I had a doctor who told me I shouldn’t be able to tell which ovary they are touching and ai proved them wrong by telling them as they touched them. Same doctor seemed shocked that I could feel my uterus being touched. Did not go back to that OBGYN.
