Swap the mozzarella to Gouda and you have a real winner. Mozzarella is what gives that stringy cheese pull that Mac and cheese isn't supposed to have, and it barely adds any flavor

I’ve made her mac and cheese plenty of times and I’m planning on tweaking it to add Gouda, should I just add like half a pound to the original recipe? I was thinking of doing half a pound of mozz and half a pound of Gouda instead of the full pound of mozzarella but I don’t want it to mess with the flavor tooo much I just felt like I needed something more. I’m making one more batch before the thanksgiving batch and I’m not too well versed in cheeses and their flavor profiles 😭 someone help

I actually also add chicken bouillon powder but I add it to the water when boiling the pasta !
