@halalstreets: Torori Warabimochi 🍡 Halal Friendly Japanese Dessert Restaurant 📍 259 Collins St, Melbourne VIC 3000 ✨ All ingredients used are halal; no gelatine, pork / pork by products or alcohol is used in any of their desserts ❗️They don’t have a proper proper halal certification (but so don’t a majority of restaurants) My Order: - Small Melting Kinako Mochi ($8.7) - Small Melting Matcha Mochi ($9.7) - Signature Matcha Oat Milk ($8.8) - Double Matcha Cloud ($10.3) Our Rating: 7.5/10 All the way from Osaka, WE GOT DA AUTHENTIC MOCHI, LESGOOOO, Melbourne be staying BLESSED!!! 🤩 Just like in Japan you get to see them prep the mochi right in front of you and it’s so cool! 😍 Overall though the mochi was solid, the melting mochi, really is so soft and does feel like it melts in your mouth, flavour wise though, it was REALLY bitter, no sweetness at all, including the matcha and especially the Kinako. 😔 Personally for us, we would’ve liked it a bit sweeter, although they do provide a packet of brown sugar to drizzle over, even then the really strong bitterness does pull through. 😩 If you like your matcha BITTER, this is the place, we definitely will be back to try their stretching and other desserts - overall not too shabby but definitely quite pricey for how much you get! 🥹 [ Self Funded ] #halal #halalfood #melbournefood #Foodie #fyp
