There is a difference between support and dependency. James depends on her for happiness and completion. It’s love, but it’s not healthy. I absolutely love the sad rich boy trope, but they are often neglected & completely rely on the female lead for happiness. I love Ruby for telling him he needs help. She’s one of the only one’s I’ve seen strong enough to set that boundary.

I like how you phrased that. Because why I don’t condoned cheating I also think that He was past the point of not aware of anything and Elaine took advantage of that situation and it doesn’t excuse it but the fact when Ruby said that he actually tried to get help and tried to fix himself for her. People make mistakes but it’s what you do after those mistakes are made. I love her for setting that boundary but I also love that James actually listened and took her advice!! I’m excited for the next episode
