"Quando Dio cambia la tua vita, di solito ti fa attraversare 4 fasi. Primo passo: protezione. Forse stai piangendo per qualcosa e ti chiedi perché Dio non intervenga ancora. Ma ciò che non puoi vedere è questo: mentre tu dormi, Dio non dorme. Egli sta fermando pericoli che tu non conosci e sta anche smantellando le trappole che il nemico ha preparato per te. Esodo 14:14 dice: “L’Eterno combatterà per voi, e voi ve ne starete queti”. Alcune calamità non ti hanno raggiunto, non perché non esistessero, ma perché Dio si è già posto davanti a te. Secondo passo: selezione. Sei stata rifiutata? Qualcuno se n'è andato? Non inseguirlo subito. Perché Dio ha ascoltato conversazioni che tu non hai ascoltato e ha visto cuori che tu non puoi vedere. Alcune persone se ne vanno, non perché tu abbia perso qualcosa, ma perché Dio ti sta proteggendo. Le relazioni false vengono eliminate, e solo allora c'è spazio per far entrare le persone veramente adatte a camminare con te. Terzo passo: sostituzione. Hai perso il lavoro, una relazione è finita, una porta si è chiusa, naturalmente sarai triste. Ma non avere fretta di considerare la “perdita” come la fine. A volte non è Dio a toglierti il futuro, ma ciò che era vecchio non è più degno del luogo verso il quale Egli vuole condurti. Tu ora vedi un vuoto, ma Dio vede il posto che sta preparando per te. Quarto passo: svolta. L'attesa è la cosa più difficile. Ti chiederai: “Quanto tempo ci vorrà ancora?” Ma Dio dice: “Ecco, io sto per fare una cosa nuova”. (Vedi Isaia 43:19) Egli può aprire una strada nel deserto e far scaturire fiumi nella terra arida. Perciò non guardare soltanto a ciò che non sta accadendo adesso. La tua svolta non sta “forse” per accadere, sta “per” accadere! Quando alcune porte si apriranno, allora capirai perché quei rifiuti, quelle perdite e quell'attesa dovevano accadere. Se credi che Dio stia ancora operando per te, scrivi: “Amen, sono disposto ad aspettare i tuoi tempi”. Condividi anche queste parole con qualcuno che sta attraversando un momento difficile e digli: Dio non ti ha dimenticato.
