@clairehagin: Meet the Blue Dragon, a tiny ocean creature that looks like it swam straight out of a fantasy movie. It’s actually a kind of sea slug called a nudibranch, and you can find it floating around warm waters near South Africa, Australia, and Europe. It’s also the most dangerous of its kind. 
Strong onshore winds recently pushed 100s of these onto Muizenberg Beach in Cape Town, South Africa. They’re 1-3cms, so are pretty tiny! 
 The Blue Dragon eats venomous jellyfish like the Portuguese man o’ war. Not only does it survive the sting, it actually steals the venom and stores it in its finger-like arms, ready to use against anything that tries to mess with it. It spends its life floating upside down, using a small bubble of air in its stomach to drift across the ocean’s surface. The bright blue side faces up to blend with the sea, and the silvery side faces down to hide from fish below — camouflage, both ways. #wildlife #southafrica #marinelife #nudibranch #natgeoyourshot
