okay lowkey haven’t seen the full episode yet (i’ve been so busy the last couple days), but having read the manga & being spoiled the episode through clips on tiktok - i wonder if en was so scared because he wondered if izuku would die the same way he did. it was an incredibly gruesome death, after all. and he didn’t really have anyone nearby to give ofa too at that point if my memory serves me right (if i’m wrong, sorry. haven’t seen it yet.)
