Agreed! I also think this about media in general. As you say, all stories require people to tell them. People have a collection of experiences that create a bias inherently. This is not bad, just important to understand. If you want a complete story on anything you have to find multiple perspectives. And if you can’t see the bias in something it’s because you share it!

Totally agree. History is written by humans, therefore bias is impossible to eliminate. That’s why critical thinking is so important.

I saw this post on Thanksgiving and thought it was very appropriate given the historical context of the holiday. I looked at both sides of the first Thanksgiving 20 years ago. I’ve had trouble celebrating it ever since. Just saying history is hard to contextualize.

There's not a single story that can be told without bias, whether it be historical, prehistorical, or your friend's trip to grocery store yesterday. Bias is inherent.

I think the victors write history. So it takes a lot of research to find the actual truth, or what is closest to it. You’re doing a great job - keep at it. We need you and so the kids you’re influencing.
