THIS! So many apartments I applied to and none of them would accept me even though I dotted every I and crossed every T. At the end of the day they just didn't want to rent to a single black mother with two kids. Study after study in my city reported that housing was too expensive. But even though I could afford the housing, they would not rent to me. now I get desperate emails, calls, and letters from the folks that I applied to asking if I want to rent. I've already got a place that I rent from a black woman.

They make it almost impossible for the common folk to own a home. For example once they get their claws on a home town they will buy 100’s of houses. The issue is they can now name their price on these houses. So if the houses in that area used to average at $150k they can now mass sell them at $350k which now makes it the new average price. Same thing with rentals. I say this bcs I used to work with these people until I found my soul.

We have like 3 totally vacant apartment buildings- and people go to jail all the time from trying to stay in them. It makes no sense to me
