“For the kingdom of heaven is at hand” I’ve always taken as it’s at stake. We’re accountable for our own salvation through God. If we do not believe in him and live for our flesh then we are damned. Life without God is a short awful one and every good part of it is because we still get to see the things that are good from God. If we repent and believe then we get to be with God and have all the good things God created without being limited by our flesh. I feel like we’re saying the same thing just in different ways.
