if you have a sous vide it speeds it up dramatically, if not you can also use an aquarium water pump to save water

guys, please stop defrosting meat in hot water. It hits the danger zone. “I’ll just cook it thoroughly” does not solve the problem. Some pathogens form heat-resistant spores or produce toxins that survive cooking. Uneven internal temperatures during cooking may leave cold spots where bacteria survive.

thanks bro, im currently waiting for my chicken to defrost by submerging it in water, but its more than half a pound and i might have to wait maybe 2 hours for it to be done. imma try this method instead and let you know😁
