I’m a kindergarten teacher and it’s totally ok if the parents do 90% of the work. Crafting releases stress so if all my student did was write their name and color some of the parts, I’m okay with that…as long as that’s what my student wanted 😊

The comments hating just tells me exactly which parents are involved and who are not. Yes, it’s the child’s schoolwork and sure them being able to complete it alone is great, but at that age them discussing with their parents what they should do/how they should do it OR even telling them what they want to do so their parents can help execute it is just as great for a lot of different reasons regarding their development. Too many want their youngest to be independent to the point that same kid grows up either refusing to attempt to depend/rely on others bc they spent all their life doing everything themselves so they “don’t need help” OR they expect everyone else to be just as independent as them and get mad/frustrated when they’re not.
