The crucifixion has nothing to do with politics or state. Jesus was the ultimate sacrifice taking our place by being nailed to a cross on Calvary. It’s the will of the Father that no one shall perish. That’s why He sent His son.

I hate this comment section. It’s so discouraging. Liberation theology is *beautiful.* Christians, in America at least, always want to think God can’t forgive sin without torturing people. I don’t understand why we’d assume, if God is love, that he wouldn’t want us to be free; that he wouldn’t want to support the most oppressed, and that he wouldn’t want his followers to stand with them too

Jesus said His blood was shed for remission on sins Matt 26:28 and His death started the new covenant (Heb 9:16-) confirms. If Jesus said it and anyone says the opposite, they're an unbeliever.
