This situation sucks but my youngest daughter at a very young age told her pre school teachers that I beat her with spiked belts and cut her fingers with a knife! I was of course angry when DCF came because this was NOT true! I am a mother of 5. DCF shows up and I got my child and introduced her to the DCF worker! Immediately my child runs up to the worker with my cat and throws the cat at the DCF worker! Yes I yelled at my child! In this event my child was clawed by the cat! I made her strip in front of the female DCF worker proving my child had zero marks other than the cut from the cat and one other on her hand! We had issues as she got older. She ran away multiple times even from police! I was eventually arrested for child neglect ( while in the process of having my daughter screened for mental illness, counseling). My daughter was finally diagnosed with depression and adolescent bipolar disorder! My other children were devastated! Charges were dropped of course! I’m an ER nurse so I sleep during the day and work 12-18 our back to back overnights. Some of these kind kids are the ones with issues! My daughter had 2 psychiatrist, 1 psychologist, counselors, emergency team counselor and a mentor! This little girl made my life hell! She was sent to live with her dad for a year and did the same to him! She’s back with me and 16 now and doing better! To the parents who are innocent keep your head up and never give up! She now has a police officer who came out to one of the calls and is now her mentor and helps a lot! He is her god father! She is doing so much better!

"I don't understand what is going on" = all of this is true and I don't want to take accountability so therefore I'm just going to say I don't understand
