Doing it now at 61. It’s really hard but I know it will result in something more evolved and better. Also empty nester, recently widowed and laid off career position following conquering cancer but so grateful to be here … been a hell of a ride last few years but in a place where I’m so ready for a change. Trying to figure out what this next chapter will look like! It’s both scary and exciting as it’s completely up to me!

I did the same thing at 33! I left my finiancially secured, big time husband and started over . Got married again and another child at 38 then chose to leave that shitty situation at 54. I’m so HAPPY I DID IT!

im 63 also. told my husband Thanksgiving night i want a divorce and I am done after 40 yrs. im glad im not alone at this stage of my life. im retired for 2 yrs and realized we have nothing in common and we do nothing together.

Divorced after 32 years, left at 58, moved to Colorado and became a ski instructor. Best move ever. I live in the mountains and have a huge group of friends❤️

Can I add this countering notion that knowing it’s time to change takes intention. It’s not an uncontrollable combustion. It is intention that creates the subsequent growth. I say this as a 65 y/o psychologist.
