@world..geo: I have lived in Appalachia my entire life and have explored so many places before being a content creator and during. None of these are in a particular order and are all on the same special level! Blackwater Falls 💧 - This 62 foot tall waterfall is the tallest in West Virginia and only requires a short walk from the parking lot! You can also view it from above which is also a short walk! Mcafee Knob - This one requires much more work to get to with a 8 mile round trip hike on the Appalachian trail. The entire hike is through a forest all the way until you get to the top when you make it to one of the most photographed spots on the Appalachian trail! Grandfather Mountain - Right above the blue ridge parkway, you can either drive up to the ridge line which cost around $30 or you can hike to the top for free. The hike is totally worth it with rock scrambling and ladders to climb at the ridge! Also saw a black bear here so be careful! Fred W. Symmes Chapel - Super easy to visit. You probably have seen this one all over social media, just check their website beforehand to make sure they don’t have a private event booked. Brasstown Bald - Standing at 4,784 this is the highest point in the state of Georgia. There is multiple hiking trails to the summit but you can also simply drive to near the summit and hike the 1.3 mile round trip trail to the actual summit.
