@sincerelymaureen: It took about 3 hours to set up the tree this morning 🎄 It’s now standing tall on Rockefeller Plaza, where it will be decorated over the next couple of weeks ahead of the Tree Lighting Ceremony on December 3 🌟 The 2025 tree is: ▫️ from East Greenbush, New York ▫️ 75 feet tall ▫️ weighing 11 tons ▫️ approx. 75 years old

Why is the tree half bald

alexis ✩ :

this years tree was donated by a wife who lost her husband 5 years ago. apparently he dreamed of it being the rockefeller tree! it was too close to their property and risked damaged. millions of trees are cut down for less a year.

averymaem :

They should lowkey just plant a live one

liv :

Alex Garcia :

Where the hell do they even get their trees from????

Clara Rose :) :

For everyone asking (written by a dendrologist): you could NOT plant a spruce here. NYC has the wrong soil type, wrong heat levels, too much light reflecting off buildings, not an enough root space, and too much pollution for a spruce or fir to survive.

babylonnn :

Wait something’s wrong with the tree
