@madayaw.culturalensemble: The Ata Tribe of Davao City is one of the Indigenous Peoples (IPs) belonging to the larger Manobo ethnolinguistic group in Mindanao. They are among the original inhabitants of the highlands of Davao, particularly in areas such as Marilog, Paquibato, and parts of Calinan. The Ata people are known for their deep connection with nature — their lives revolve around the forest, rivers, and mountains which they treat with great respect as sacred gifts from their ancestors. Their culture is rich with traditional music, dances, and rituals that express their gratitude to the spirits and celebrate harmony with the environment.
