I heard a lot of people said put a needle in it - I didn’t do it so I ask my doctor he said yes it’s true but you had to do it asp after it happened. I waited 2 weeks it was to late.

Update: I DID end up losing my nail which was surprisingly painless. it is about half grown back. I recommend keeping it wrapped and protected as much as possible to prevent losing your fingernail.
