kaworu and mahito are basically two sides of the same coin if you think about it enough lol. both were born inhuman (angel v. curse), both curious about humans, both meet a miserable guy who becomes their “window” into humanity. But while kaworu learns to love and even defies his purpose for it, mahito just doubles down on being what he is. Like, kaworu finds a self beyond being an angel; mahito never sees himself as anything but a curse. Does that make sense? Idk, I just randomly thought of it lol.
