@cbssundaymorning: Recent studies show new antibody drugs can slow cognitive decline in people with early-onset Alzheimer’s — a critical finding for a disease with no cure. CBS News chief medical correspondent @lapookjon visits Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, where researchers are testing treatments before symptoms appear. (The clinical trials involve the 1 to 2 percent of people with Alzheimer's who are genetically predisposed to developing dementia.) He also speaks with philanthropist @thisisbillgates, who has donated $300 million to support Alzheimer’s research. #alzheimers #disease #health #symptoms
Never trust anything Bill Gates touches. I sure as hell wouldn’t.

My mother received one of these meds in a clinical study. It worked. She was just mild, she was at the point where she just started to show symptoms . The timing is definitely everything- but this medicine does work.

THIS. Out of all the terrible things that Orange skinned POS has done to this country, withholding funding for something as amazing as this is one of the worst.

I don't give care how much people can't stand Bill Gates, he is clearly providing the assistance that this administration is not and that is a win for everyone in this Country. Alzheimer's is a horrid disease and I am grateful that he is helping fund research.

My father went downhill so quickly in between the first set of symptoms and his final diagnosis of dementia (18 months) that it was too late to do anything.
