it was released. I own one. amazing picture while it last. but as usual, so many miss use, one plus patch it with an updates. so somebody bought ones with updates disable to keep the ir camera.

All camera phones and many point and shoot and webcams can see in the Infrared spectrum, all you have to do is remove the Infrared filter from the lens assembly
