Those 4 head bolts have more clamping force than the 6 on a 7.3…difference being was the lack of knowledge on the amount of low end pressure caused by a vgt turbo

Put a fluid damper on a 7.3 can run 6-700hp no problem

Didn't International design it to be a 230hp industrial/boat engine? And that's why the head gasket failure when Ford added 100hp to it.

I’d rather have a 6.5 P400 it has a bed plate and has 17 head bolts per side but the 6.0 power strokes do sound cool

ford had a few engines with bed plates in them. like the v6 duratec gas engines found in fusion, cougar and contour that were naturally aspirated but could be boosted to 1100hp 😂
