This is why I now deal with a local credit union. It’s a hassle sometimes but not as bad as when Bank of America stole $10k from me or when Wells Fargo stole $95k!!!!! Didn’t get money back either time.

Bank: we can not cancel or freeze it Me: can I please have your your name? Why? because I am documenting the time and the person I have spoken to so I can refer this back to my lawyer and explain to them how YOU (the bank) will be held liable for this identify theft. And because this is a recorded line, this will be used in court. Thank you so very much. (Phone clicks and I send email to bank to have a paper trail)

Someone working at the bank. I would’ve made an appointment with someone in the local branch, not a teller and demand a replacement. If that doesn’t help, most bank cards have a visa or other institution on it I’d call that 800 number and report that bank branch for sketchy/illegal activity. In the meantime I’m invested in this dying to know who it actually is.
