Africans already had (from the east through the Arabs) gun powder technology before Europeans came. They had manufacturing capability of making guns. Asantes did NOT participate in slavery because their CONSTITUTIONAL laws banned it—in fact Asante had a large army because their laws gave states they conquered EQUAL citizenship rights….Accounts of survivors of the transatlantic travel shows they were criminals or kidnapped by Europeans. Africans did NOT have slavery system. They had workers similar to what is employees of today but they lived together as family…….the objective facts and evidence is showing that Africans had better moral and civilized systems than Europe.

The Arab slave trade in North Africa and the Sahel involved not just the physical enslavement of millions of Africans but also the systematic destruction of culture, religion, and family structures. Men were often castrated, women were raped, and entire communities were uprooted. Indigenous African identities, languages, and histories were suppressed or erased to consolidate control and erase traces of preexisting civilizations. This wasn’t just physical violence—it was a deliberate attempt to erase African heritage and replace it with foreign norms, leaving deep scars that still affect the region today.
