I don’t understand why you get hate for living in an apartment. Americans forget that living in a big house is an almost exclusively American privilege. Most of the rest of the world lives in small spaces and with large families. Here in Brazil, there are families who live in just two rooms. So I think you’re living a wonderful life in such a big apartment by NYC standards — and in such an amazing city!

Funny how some people have an idea that you can’t be happy in a smaller space, just because they are used to see these family channels with big mansions and big houses. The people that are upset with you making your kids beds or doing their hair, are the same people that never had that, so it feels unfair to them. My mom always did this. And I turned out just fine. It’s just cultural norms. We do things for our kids, yet our kids respect us, and take care of us the same way, when we are old. The way you treat your kids, is how they treat you, later on in life. The hateful comments are how ppl end up in nursing

Girl! You WORK!!! Taking care of kids is a full time 24/7-365 days a year job. We get paid with kisses, loves, messy rooms, kids fighting and mostly cleaning. Don’t worry about what the haters say. Kids are meant to be kids and no one should be hating or anyone. Specially if they are jealous of how you or anyone else is parenting
