theyll only fill up so far. unles theres a hole in the top itll have air pressure in the top half. its hard to sink a pontoon.

put a plug that screws in flush so it can't be caught on a rock..just my idea you can tell me why that's not possible

Had this issue on my dads put a bung on the top side to pressurize them and drilled a hole in the bottom to drain and just welded the hole back when they dried out

I used to work maintenance at a marina on the largest lake in Kentucky(according to the visitor bureaus anyway), we had a utility pontoon, aluminum diamond plate deck, helm station and a roof nothing else, anyway the poor thing got used roughly by everyone and had holes in the front third of both toons from people running it up onto the boat ramp and almost sank twice in one week! We had a guy come out after we managed to get it on to a trailer and patch it up.he also ran a 2x2 aluminum angle down the length to help prevent more damage, it worked till last summer when one of the workers ran it up on the bank!
