The deal includes a promise to hold a vote in mid-December on extending expiring health care tax credits.  While the Senate has passed the first procedural step, the legislation must still pass the House to be enacted.  Key components of the agreement Government funding:  The government will be funded until January 30, 2026, through a combination of a short-term continuing resolution and three full-year appropriations bills for agriculture, military construction, and legislative agencies. Federal workforce: The agreement reverses the mass firings of federal employees and ensures all federal workers will receive back pay for the duration of the shutdown. It also prevents future mass layoffs until the end date of the continuing resolution. Food assistance: The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) will be fully funded through the end of fiscal year 2026.
