I thought when you harvest potatoes, they waited till all the leaves turned brown, and then that was the indication that they were ready

We planted a sweet potato that sprouted & had beautiful vines. Pulled the dying plant & had so many potatoes, larger than fingerling sizes

My soil is so much more compact than yours. My beds have bagged garden soil and compost isn’t decomposed yet. Suggestions for looser soil additive? Vermiculite?

Oooo, YAY!! I pulled mine out of a raised bed a week ago & they are all different sizes & shapes. They filled up a 5 gal bucket. I’m convinced there were some so deep, I couldn’t get to them. 🤣 I’m so excited to cure & eat them!
