If I’m going, do you think it would be nice/okay to bring something for the restaurant owners that we go to? Like I’m from Texas. Would it be weird to bring them some hot sauce. Or I know not everywhere has ranch. I just think about how convenient it is that I could bring something from America to them since I’m already traveling lol

Otagi Nenbutsu-ji is actually a bit busy! I got there at 9:15AM (opens at 9) and I was surprised to see how busy it was. Not overly crowded but don’t expect to be alone (just a heads up for those wanting to go!)

I spent one night in arashiyama to enjoy it all early in the morning…if you have time I highly recommend its so quiet and a good reprieve from the hustle and bustle
