i love the “no taboo” topic. it’s actually super important for us to talk about those things with our parents; alcohol, sex, porn, all the things. did Jesus shy away from hard conversations? nope, he educated! love it.

This is what I needed growing up, but this is how my husbands parents raised him - so glad he had that so we can lean into that approach ourselves! My husband had a way more normal and healthy relationship with his parents and with “worldly” things… I however was a mess and I never talked to my parents about it 😅

similar experience with alcohol + just seeing how it makes ppl act and im like why would i ever want to willing put myself through that. ive been offered drinks at parties bars & clubs etc and it's always mixed reactions when i turn down a free shot or ill get asked "why dont you drink?" it just shocked me how drinking is so normalized that the person who doesn't do it, is the one frowned upon.
