Do I have to keep this plugged in in the car? I’m looking for a dash that I can charge and not keep it plugged in in the car. I hate cords. I like a nice clean cordless look.

I’ve purchased 2 of these. I have one in each one of my truck trucks. They do work good but 2 things I’ve noticed… number 1 the SD card that comes with it will expire rather quickly and force you to buy a $60 120 GB card from your local store or online. Number 2 the pivot point has broke on both of mine. I do travel on dirt roads with vibration. I’ve had to repair both of them. Other than that, they seem to do their job and worked well.

I had an issue with my last dash cam and it wouldn't connect to my car because my Android auto would connect to my car. I know this dash cam is with Wi-Fi. is it going to cause an issue like I had before? do you know?

Does it start recording as soon as you turn the car on? If it records when the car is not on does that drain the car battery?
