When I was 19 I got lost driving in an unfamiliar city. I happened to be passing by a masonic lodge and saw guys going in and out of the lodge. I pulled up and told them my Dad was a mason and that I was lost. They gave me the directions I needed and a Pepsi. Two years later I joined freemasonry.

❤ I got a couple of different situations that I had and yeah, each time you go into a Lodge, we’re brothers and that’s all there is to it. My wife was very impressed with the guys from Newburyport, Massachusetts. They treated us like family. Recently did a walk for Alzheimer’s with brothers in Philadelphia and same scenario, family.

Not always. In the Grand Lodge building in NY/NY I tried to ask about a Lodge to visit. I identified myself as an MM from Toronto (Grand Lodge of Canada in Ontario) and the security didn’t let me talk to anyone. I asked to talk to a mason, it was denied. I had my Masonic documents, but it was disregarded. I was invited to leave.
