I can actually tell you from a personal experience. Is there people in need? Absolutely! Is there people that take advantage of a church? Yes! We have helped people (the church) with bills, food, etc and they literally took advantage of a spot that someone could really have needed but they truly didn’t need! It does happen.

The Bible says that the poor will be with us until the end of time. It’s also very clear that we are command to help them. It is also very clear to Love your neighbor as yourself. When the lawyer got smart and tried to ask Jesus well who is my neighbor, trying to figure out who they didn’t have to help…. Jesus Gave them the parable of the God Samaritan- (in which he referenced religious leaders walk right past a dying man and never helping him) and commanded us to not be like that.

Funny though that the church doesn't seem to have a problem w/asking for money on the daily & they're tax exempt. Practice what you preach. Hopefully folks will begin seeing organized religion is the root of the downfall of this country & so many that came before.
