Also it won’t have your picture on it so make sure to have the Declaration of Independence and three other forms of ID with you. Also, if you do need a replacement, there’s a lifetime limit on those so good luck.

Nope, you can’t laminate it. They also get mad if you don’t tear the little surrounding paper off it.

I used to keep mine in my wallet. I lost the wallet. Then when I went to replace my social security card, they wanted my birth certificate. I had no idea where that was either. Guess what they ask you for when you try to replace your birth certificate. Social security card.
