I’ve watched this 12 years ago and today i’ve watched it again and i’m the same age as female lead. I used to think Naoki was a walking red flag but watch it again today totally changed my view towards the couple.

i love the fact that he really never did. he was never interested in other girls and it was obvious. he was only going to marry someone else because he felt like he HAD to, but the moment Kotoko and him were married, he was always faithful and always made sure that everyone knew he was married. He never hid his relationship nor his love for her. He has a hard time expressing emotions the way Kotoko does, but if u really get to know his character, he really does show, in his own way, his love for her. He knows her and picks her every single time. His love never wavered, even when he was so jealous of Keita. He had never been jealous but it was because he never had a reason to be and the possibility of losing the one woman that gave him purpose made him act up.
