I am with you. I don’t hate it but I don’t love it. I feel like the shade is too close to the flooring. I know you said you really thought about the color but maybe a touch darker? I do love the textural difference though

Be careful lighting a candle on the shelf thats not been screwed to the wall, the whole shelf could just fall off on to the sofa! Loving the whole reno though, well done.
