When I had a couple guys working literally 8 hours on my furnace, I offered to order a pizza for lunch/dinner and if they wanted any drinks or anything. They said no, and I felt so bad, because I could tell it was going to be a long rough job. I hope I didn’t make them uncomfortable. 🤣 The rest of the time I stayed upstairs with my kids and let them work. I’m so thankful that they came and helped us.

I had my bathroom redone subfloor up between Thanksgiving and Christmas . I made Xmas candy and sent them home with some and a cake. Coffee was on most of the day. I wanted them to feel welcome and they were so honest and priced us a good deal. 🥰🥰🥰

I have a good relationship with my maintenance people and they show me how to do the things a lot.. or I’ve even helped if they need things. But my partners stay out of the way

I had a tech take a look at my washer once bc it was leaking. I took out trash and when I came back, he complained he'd been telling me what was wrong, but I wasn't there. I still feel bad/chastised for not waiting on him, but just doing my housework.

We are mid remodel. Our 18 pound extremely underfoot half blind Boston terrier is just chilling in his crate. The workers often say just let him out. I refuse for his safety and theirs. He’s very happy in his little nest with a bone.

Also folks who don't let tradespeople use their bathrooms completely baffled me. I've known people to go over to the nearest gas station rather than use my toilet bc I didnt get there fast enough. No please don't inconvenience yourself when you're fixing my stuff.

I always feel akward when im telling them the history of the issue or space. thank you. once had a tub repair guy chase my cat for 30min because he was worried I would be mad. keep your kitties out of the way 😺
