Can i also say the rise of thrifting as a hobby means that dated/loosely fitted clothes/cargo pants etc became ‘cool’ so brands started copying it. So you can look ‘cool’ without thrifting with the poors.

I also think this is to do with the oversaturation of ‘fit check’ content. and realizing those ‘fits’ look like people are trying way too hard but not in the right way because the fits aren’t practical for doing stuff (concerts, shopping, partying, etc)
