As someone from Fiji, where it's a communal culture, I can say that there are too many how to make friends videos and not enough how to be a friend video. If you want a village please also learn to be a villager. Just saying. Love your vids btw.

YES!!! but also on the same coin we need to make sure that we are good with ourselves first, the amount of friends that you make and the connection you build with them are somewhat uncontrollable but what is, is ourselves. I feel like sometimes in order to make friends we perform to attract them and that never comes out healthy in the long run. So what i’m saying is, YES you should absolutely seek out new friends and be social but its also okay if you are in solitude and finding a deeper connection with yourself in order to not degrade yourself for other people. Balance is key!

idk about everyone looking for connection, everytime i try engaging random people i just get the weakest responses that i just stop bothering, its like people are too focused on projecting high egos and not acting cringe and awkward, and it just feels like me being desperate when looking for just reciprocity, its wild actually, i just end up feeling way worse than if i actually didnt try, my last good friends are from college but we are not geographically close or they got married, i still refuse to use an app as it feels too dehumanizing to me, so there is your stalemate, anyway ty for listening to my crash out

I had bunch of connections and it helped me land jobs whenever I needed. I had to move to a really small town 2 yrs ago and everything fell apart. And small town culture is... Idk guys if you can, choose the big city, it's easier to at least go out
