you should try to find the parents or something! i think it’s too much of a gray area to take ownership of something an artist (i KNOW theyre a child, but still) did not feel proud of/want to share

(not legal advice) ok so legally speaking, you don't own the copyright, so: no. however, the odds that the child who drew it even remembers it, let alone would take action against you is very very low, so odds are you'd be fine to do that, but it's not impossible.
