You will realise that when the wife of the Aziz tried to seduce Yussuf (May Allah be please with him). Yussuf said to the woman that "Your husband is my Rabbi (Lord) or "Master" who makes my stay here comfortable for me". Here Yussuf (Alaihi salaam) refer to the Aziz as his "master" or "lord" out of respect and not because he is an object to be worship. Honestly we can't blame the the king for banning him after he respectfully called on all the preacher's in the region to preach peace and against.
